Inverted Pendulum Game

A game used in an introductionary course in mathematics and control engineering. The goal is to balance an inverted pendulum under a helicopter so that it can refuel. Several levels with increasing difficulty. It is possible to use manual control of the wagon and to tune a PID controller.

Mass Damper Spring simulation

A simulation used at NTNU in a mathematics course on differential equations. In the simulator you are able to change several parameters; mass, damping coefficient and spring constant in addition to initial conditions; position and velocity. You can also see plots of velocity, force, position and a phase plot.

Helicopter Game

A game where the goal is to shoot down some targets at the shortest time possible. You control the force on the rotor of the helicopter. It is possible to play in manual mode and autopilot mode. In autopilot mode you use a PID-controller which you have to tune for best possible effect. The game is used in a control engineering course at NTNU.

Temperature control of a tank

Developed as a part of an EU-project where the target groups are automation technicians in the industry and students involved with vocational training in automation control. In this simulator, several parameters may be tuned; input power, flow in, ambient temperature and temperature of the water flowing into the tank. The goal is to control the temperature in the tank.

Stability of a Ship Simulator

A simulator developed for a marine introductionary course at NTNU. Lets the user change several parameters of ship and then examine how the stability is affected.

F.L.U.X. – Physics Game

A physics game developed for upper secondary school in Norway. The game focuses on projectile motion and magnetic flux. These concepts are illustrated with help of a car jumping over a pond and a car driving over a magnetic field.
